Rother area panel update
Richard Gorman, who joined the Panel in May this year has now become Chair. Maria Burr, the outgoing Chair, has had to step down as she is now a resident of Sentinel Housing. However, being highly valued, she will remain as an independent member.
Stuart Hockley who is a Shared Owner of a Radian property has also joined the panel and attended his first official meeting in September.
The panel has worked hard on their key priorities for the year. Members agreed on a new and improved void standard for empty homes, based on their views as residents. This has formed part of the first phase of improving a resident’s experience of moving home. The second phase will look at how much this will look at the cost implications and how it will work in practice.
The Panel agreed to look at two car parking hotspots, one in Bordon and the other in Headley Down. They aim to come up with some options to improve the parking issues. If successful this could be rolled out into other areas.
The results of our last customer satisfaction survey showed that 28% of the Rother residents taking part still felt that their views were not being taken into consideration. We still have some vacancies on the Rother Area Panel so why not join and help change people’s minds!
