A new report has been published that focuses on the impact that proposed changes to the Welfare Reform Bill will have on housing.
The report, called 'The impact of welfare reform on housing', has been produced by Consortium of Associations in the South East (CASE); a collection of nine major housing associations, including Radian.
The CASE report highlights areas of government policies where possible short-term savings could be surpassed by more complicated long-term problems. It also consists of several recommendations by the CASE group on how to reduce the possible long-term problems for residents and the housing sector as a whole.
All MPs across the South East of England have been sent the CASE report so they are aware of how the welfare reforms may affect the people in their communities and local businesses.
The groups that form CASE are: Radian, The Guinness Partnership, The Hyde Group, L&Q, Moat, Paradigm, Sovereign, Thames Valley Housing and West Kent.
If you have concerns about the welfare reform plans, contact our welfare benefits team on 0300 123 1567 or keep checking the website for more updates.
