And what did you have for Mothering Sunday? Following on from the excitement of the birth of a new great granddaughter, Evie Alison on 16th March, my two eldest sons arrived on the 21st with wood, tools and all that they needed to put up shelves in my new shed because I was moving the following weekend into my new home. They also moved my shrubs, roses, plants etc and planted the garden for me, just leaving me to arrange tubs etc.
I was the first to move from the old REEMA houses and now with the rebuild almost completed, I had the pleasure of moving into the house I had originally chosen. It has been a long and interesting few years.
The look of this estate near The Petersfield School is impressive. There are a large number of residents who are taking care, planting their front gardens to look colourful and well cared for. Sadly not everyone has the idea that other people's pride and hard work should be admired. Recently plants and flowers have been needlessly vandalised, causing distress. Also about 10 shrubs were removed and dumped near a builders skip. Fortunately these were reported and recovered.
Please, we want this estate to continue looking good and not having to suffer needless vandalism.
