Estate Watch

Level of commitment - Medium

Option 1: 'Make a Difference' Day in your area
Option 2: Estate Walkabout - 1 hour inspection of your area twice a year
Option 3: Estate Watcher - regular help via email or phone when problems arise

Open to

All Radian residents

Why take part?

Purpose - To make a positive difference across a range of issues in your neighbourhood to help make your estate/road a nicer place to live.

Outcome - Feedback to relevant service and Open Management Continuous Improvement Group which will help shape and influence service.

Skills / training required

Essential
Option 1: Good observation and communication skills.
Option 2: As 1 above.
Option 3: IT literate where appropriate, a PC will be made available for use at your home.

Persuasive skills to help influence others

Will influence and encourage pride in your local area and service provision

Length of commitment & who to contact

For as long as is convenient to the resident, although it is desirable for estate watchers to be involved for a minimum of 1 year

Residents' Action Group

Level of commitment - Medium

Approximately 4 meetings a year

All residents

Why take part?

Purpose - To form a panel appointed yearly by local residents to discuss local issues.

Outcome - To feed back to relevant service and/or Continuous Improvement Group to help shape and influence service.

Residents Design Panel

Level of commitment - Medium

4 evening meetings a year, lasting approximately 2 hours each.

Ideally, residents who have recently moved into a new Radian development

Why take part?

Purpose - Meets to look at how Radian will build new properties and how we can learn from past errors and experiences.

Outcome - Feedback and outcomes from the Group are fed directly to the Association's Board for consideration.

Leaseholder Home Advisory Group 

Level of commitment - Medium

From the comfort of home, read and feedback views on documents that are produced specifically for leaseholders as and when required.

All leaseholders

Why take part?

Purpose - To give leaseholders, at a time that suits them, the chance to use their experience to influence how services that relate to them are delivered. Helping to ensure standards are maintained and services are improved, whilst still providing value for money.

Outcome -  Recommendations for improvement to service provision, service procedure and information provided to all leaseholders will be passed to the Leaseholders CIG for consideration and approval.
