Queensgate Summer Event - 13th August 2011

queensgate_summer_event_girl_facepaint_aug11There was a significant turnout as around 60 people attended on the day. Children’s entertainer, Mr Giant, captivated onlookers as he performed magic tricks, juggling moves and made balloon shapes. There was a variety of activities for everyone to get involved with such as face painting, egg and spoon races and fishing for ducks. One of the highlights was a visit from the local fire engine, where children were allowed to climb inside and experience being real firemen and women. Adding to the excitement and the overall merriment, people got into teams of four and using budget priced toilet roll worked together to ‘wrap their mummy’ in the fastest time. Those who joined in quickly got into the spirit of what the fun day was all about, including Angela Sleet who was persuaded to be wrapped up.
