Radian, a housing and care provider in the South East has been alerted by its residents of a conman currently operating in the Bordon area of East Hampshire. They are posing as a council official and demanding cash for what they claim is unpaid rent arrears.
Radian wishes to state directly that this is a bogus caller.
A Radian spokesperson declared, "Neither Radian nor the local authorities ask for payment of rent on the doorstep. All of our staff carry identification cards with them. Residents are advised to call either ourselves on 0300 123 1567 or the police if they receive any suspicious callers."
