On a rather wet and blustery day on Sunday 17th July, staff from the Rother Community Involvement and Housing Teams joined other local groups, charities and businesses and set up stalls around Petersfield Square and the High Street as part of the Culture2 event. Approved by the Rother Area Panel, Radian donated funding towards the day which gave all stall holders the chance to promote their interests and give visitors a flavour of what the district has to offer. A stage in the Square featured music from several live bands while food stalls kept visitors going.
Staff on the Radian stall cheerfully chatted to local people about all the different services Radian provides from moving home, tackling anti-social behaviour to giving advice on how to report a repair. Free goodies such as pens, pencils, pedometers and eco friendly bags were readily handed out to help promote what we do and it was generally agreed that despite the rain, people enjoyed the day. An estimated 1000 attended the event.
